Covina, California - Teamsters Local 396 members employed by Genesis Logistics in Santa Fe Springs and San Diego have overwhelmingly ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that delivers significant wage increases, improved benefits, and stronger contract language for workers who deliver products to 7-Eleven stores throughout Southern California.
The new agreement reflects the priorities identified by members and was secured through the hard work and determination of the rank-and-file bargaining committee.
“This agreement is a testament to what can be accomplished when workers stand together and fight for what they deserve,” said Victor Mineros, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 396. “Our members at Genesis Logistics made it clear that they wanted meaningful improvements in wages, benefits, and workplace protections, and this contract delivers on those priorities. I want to thank the bargaining committee for their leadership and our members for their solidarity throughout the negotiations.”
The contract includes substantial economic gains while strengthening protections and clarifying key contract provisions that will improve working conditions for Teamsters members at both facilities.
“This was a contract worth fighting for,” said Billy Williams, a Genesis Logistics driver in San Diego and member of the bargaining committee. “Our committee stayed focused on what mattered most to the membership, and we were able to secure improvements that will make a real difference for our families. We appreciate the support from our fellow Teamsters and are proud of what we achieved together.”
Teamsters Local 396 represents more than 14,000 workers across Southern California in a wide range of industries, including transportation, warehousing, sanitation, and package delivery.
